Water, water and lots of water!

With the blistering summer heat, Theo is either wet with sweat or wet with water. And nowhere else is it best to get wet than in a beach nearby or in his own inflatable tub.

We live near the coast and the beach resorts are just a few minutes away by car. So if Theo wants to take a dip, someone can always take him there, where he can play in the sand or get wet from head to toe. He always can't seem to get enough of all this fun, just like his father when he was his age.

Today, however, he preferred to stay home and spend hours in his own tub. When this photo was taken, he had already spent about two hours immersed in water. We had to pull him out, however, when it was time for lunch.

Life's a Beach

We've been quite busy sorting out our things and preparing to move to another place next month, which is near Theo's school. However, we try to make sure that Theo is having a good time by bringing him to relatives and places where we know he will enjoy. Last week, he spent two afternoons at his cousin Lance's place, where they played together for hours. Being first cousins, they quickly bonded together, with Theo acting as an older brother.

We also brought him to another relative's house where he played the pianica together with Kikay, my uncle's youngest daughter. At that time, he didn't want to go home, except when we told him that we'll pass by a beach on our way back...

Theo couldn't get enough of running around at the beach because it was low tide. At first, he was quite hesitant, but after a while, he no longer wanted to return home. Eventually, it started to become cold and his clothes were already wet. We had to take off his clothes in the car on our way back.

During our family day last Sunday, we made him spend one hour and a half at a play area in a mall. At his age, Theo is programmed for playing, and I think we can leave him here for many hours and he wouldn't even remember us.
