Today, our little Theo, whose name means "divine gift", marks his second year of happy life. We thank God for this gift that changed our lives forever.

Happy, happy 2nd birthday, dear Theo. We love you so much!

Advanced Happy Birthday, Theo!

December 26, Theo's actual birthday, falls on a working day (yes, people in Japan are working until the 28th), that's why Mommy D decided to celebrate Theo's birthday last night with a few friends. There were lots of food (Mommy D prepared 7 dishes!) and the company was great. Theo appeared to have also immensely enjoyed it.

In order for Mommy D to prepare without being disturbed, Theo and I went to a park near Tsukuba Center. He spent almost 3 hours running around, climbing up and down small hills, and dragging the dried leaves with his feet.

Photos Galore

The Chicken Monster

Theo loves chicken, esp. the grilled ones. Although he seems to stare blankly at the camera as this shot was taken, you can be sure that his taste buds are having the time of their lives.

Cool!!!

We bought a pair of 300-yen sunglasses for him which he enjoyed wearing for a few days. We actually don't know where it is now or where he had placed it, but at least, we have this shot to immortalize the moment. He'll probably be a rap artist someday, among other occupations.

Ice muncher

Theo also loves to munch on crushed ice. When he appears bored or restless, we just take a bowl of crushed ice and he'll be happily munching for at least 30 minutes. This comes in handy when we're in a crowded restaurant and we don't want him running around.

Mr. Pogi

This photo was taken last night during the Christmas Party of the Association of Filipino Scholars in Tsukuba. A friend commented that he looks more like a young gentleman than a toddler who's yet to turn two in less than 10 days.

It's Christmas time again!

Although Theo appears to be oblivious of the fact that it's now Christmas season in Tsukuba (1st photo), things are still looking up (2nd photo), hahaha....

As you can see, Theo has become a bit taller. A few weeks ago, he couldn't reach our bathroom door handle; now, he can enter the bathroom at will and wreak havoc on the laundry. More often than not, he would put the laundry in the washing machine, much to his mother's chagrin.

He has also learned a lot more words now and slowly building up his vocabulary. But well, as they say, the sooner he learns how to talk, the sooner he'll learn how to talk back.

Without exception, anyone who sees him always comments on how cute he is. You should see him in person...
