Need for Potty Training

We are planning to begin Theo's schooling in the Philippines next year and the school where we intend to send him requires that he be toilet-trained before he can be accepted. It's still almost a year before he begins school and we are glad that he's been trained for the "poo poo". However, as far as "wee wee" is concerned, it's quite erratic. Usually, it is only in the evenings, esp. before going to bed, that he tells his parents that he'd like to take a leak. During the daytime, however, esp. when he's busy playing, he just lets go in his diapers, and that irritates Mommy D to the hilt.

In the photo above, you can see him capped with his diaper. We think that he's already too old to wear diapers, which have become an unnecessary expense.

In the two photos below, he is shown playing in a park somewhere in the outskirts of Tokyo where Mommy D took him one weekend.

Theo loves trains from the "Thomas and Friends" series, and in the photo below, you can see him holding "Emily". He just woke up though so his eyes appear sleepy. (Yawn)

By the way, Theo's cousin Lance is growing up to be a really handsome kid, as you can see here, just like his uncle...hehehe...

Manny Pacquiao in the making

Mommy D was one day rummaging through her old clothes when she chanced upon some of Theo's old mittens. Theo, who was also making a mess nearby, couldn't resist putting them on and goofing around, as you can see in the photos below. However, him becoming the next Manny Pacquiao is quite remote, given how protective her mother is towards him.

They also went to Ueno Park last Thursday where Theo enjoyed running around and dancing to the tunes that four high school students were playing. One of them liked him so much that she gave him a small Pooh stuffed toy (see below).

Today, we just stayed home the whole day because the mercury has climbed to more than 36 deg C and the humidity is maybe in the 70s. Summer in Japan is truly much worse than that in the Philippines!

Play, play, play

These days, there is nothing in Theo's mind except play, play play.... and watching "Thomas the Train" DVDs. Recently, Mommy D took him to various parks and places when it wasn't very hot. (As some of you may know, summer in Japan is sometimes unbearably hot, just like today.) In the photos below, you'll find him in some of these places, or otherwise, just goofing around.

This and the photos below were taken at Ueno park, his favorite hideaway.
