Tokyo Sea Life Park

Yesterday, we took Theo -- for the first time -- to Tokyo Sea Life Park, which is not too far from our place and just a train stop away from Tokyo Disneyland. He was so excited to see the many aquaria that he didn't know where to start.

A photo-op just before entering the park.

Taken just before going down to see the fishes.

The huge aquarium with so many large tuna swimming inside captured his attention.

This is one of the main reasons why we went to the sea life park: to see the penguins, whom Theo has become very fond of after watching them in the kids channel on TV.

Theo was literally spent after running around and watching all of the fishes.

This was taken just outside the building where the aquaria are housed. It was also where Theo did more running and goofing around after lunch.

Being fond of penguins surely made Theo gravitate towards the penguin mascot.

Before leaving, Theo asked for a cup of melon soda, which he really liked at first but didn't have the stomach to finish.

We're planning to take him to Toy Kingdom sometime soon...

Happy New Year!

Theo's birthday wasn't such a happy one because he went down with cough, cold and fever. This was taken on the 27th of December (the day after his birthday), at the time when he was really feeling lethargic and complaining about his aching limbs. As always, the fever lasted for only a full 24 hours, after which, the virus transferred to his mom, and now, it's my turn to go down with the virus. I was planning to go to work today, a day ahead of the official start of the work period in Japan, but the terrible cough and dizziness this morning prompted me to stay put to allow my immune system to deal with the virus, with the help of lots of fluid, of course.

These photos were taken yesterday, and as you can see, Theo is greeting the New Year with the one thing that he's best at: play!

Happy New Year everyone!
