Theo and Mao

Developmentally speaking, Theo and his friend Mao have gone a long way since they first met more than a year ago. Now, both can run very fast and chase each other in the park. Last Thursday, they actually met and gave each other a kiss, after much prodding by their respective mothers. The photos below were previously posted in this blog. Weren't they much more cute then?

Toilet Training

Mommy D has begun Theo's toilet training recently but with unpredictable results. Because he has been accustomed to moving his bowel whenever he feels like it, he still hasn't found the need to inform us when his sphincter is about to burst. Thus, he still doesn't see the logic of (1) sitting on this throne and (2) letting go. That's why he appears quite uncomfortable in the photo above.

Whenever we go to the small park just behind our home, Theo always makes it a point to dash to this faucet and try to open it up. We make sure, however, that it's tightly closed (that's why his eyebrows meet), otherwise, he'll have an unnecessary cold shower. It's now autumn and the mercury has plunged to less than 15 degrees C in the evenings. During the day, 19 degrees is max, which is just ideal for long walks, such as in the photo below. Notice that the leaves have started to fall.

This is what Theo does when we ask him to "touch your nose." Yesterday, however, when this photo was taken, he had a slight cold, that's why his finger went straight into the runny hole.
