Having fun in Shibuya

The previous week had been hectic for Theo. For most days, he and Mommy D were out visiting places and play areas for kids. One of Theo's favorites is the multilevel Tokyo Metropolitan Children's Hall in Shibuya where he couldn't seem to stop playing with the toy trains. He actually didn't want to go home when it was time to pack up and Mommy D had to literally "drag" him to the door since it was getting late.

Two Sundays ago, we also went to Tokyo Dome where a relatively large flea market was held. This is also one of the trendiest places in Tokyo because of its large, well-designed mall and other various rides and attractions. Theo enjoyed the dancing fountain very much.

For Daddy B, the week is not enough without a visit to Akihabara, Tokyo's famous Electric Town. This shot was taken yesterday in front of the Japan Railway (JR) station and the Yodobashi Camera mall.

I am not privy to their plans for this week. Mommy D has lots of surprises for Theo but I'm certain that he'll have a grand time, as always.

Funny Face

Today is a national holiday in Japan. As such, Mommy D and Theo are lazing in bed while I'm writing this blog entry. We haven't decided yet where we're going to today; it all depends on how hot or humid the weather is.

The older Theo gets, the more we realize that he's a natural comedian. As much as possible, he would do anything to make his parents laugh. It's probably because Mommy D and I always throw jokes at each other and it's not very often that we're serious at home. Thus, Theo has been growing up with a healthy dose of humor and laughter.

Here are some of the faces that he would make to catch his parents' attention.

We tell him that he looks like a lizard or turtle when he does this. (The mark on his forehead is a mosquito bite. It's all gone by now.)

He sometimes does this when he's in a light mood when we're taking his photo.

You should see him dance. He prefers either ballroom or hip hop music. He particularly likes the music of the Black Eyed Peas.

Just lazing on the floor and acting funny.

Theo and his signature shades, which he wears even indoors.

This is how he looks when he asks for ice cream (chocolate and vanilla are his favorites). How can you not give in?

Photos Galore - 3

Theo loves to play in the sandbox near our home, so Mommy D takes him there occasionally. It also means that he'll have to be thoroughly bathed afterwards to remove all of the sand that can be found even on his hair.

The Bishop of Yanaka. As you can see, Theo is neither fat nor thin, just average.

On the way to a supermarket, Theo stopped by at a park in Minowa to smell the flowers.

Now, let's see who has a bigger mouth. Photo taken at another park near Minowa.

Every friday morning, there is an activity for kids at the nearby community center. As much as possible, Mommy D takes him there because there are lots of toys to play with. Theo loves the trains the most.

By the way, Theo's cousin Lance is also growing up to be handsome kid, as you can see here.
