Happy New Year!

Unlike in the Philippines, New Year celebrations in Japan are so quiet you feel it's just like any ordinary night. On New Year's eve, all that we did was watch TV while Theo was fast asleep.

Theo, however, had been enjoying the numerous toys and gifts that he had received from our friends and from his Grandaunt Nalik. In the two photos below, you can see him clutching his Minnie Mouse stuffed toy, which was sent to him by his grandaunt all the way from Louisiana.

He loved this stuffed toy so much he even took it with him when he and Mommy D went to the downtown area the other day. It was also beside him in bed these past three nights. He actually received so many toys and children's books from his grandaunt that he didn't know where to start as soon as the package was opened.

Mommy D took this photo in front of our apartment. You can see him wearing his new shoes and jacket.

Mommy D also took this shot when they were at Tsukuba Center, Tsukuba's shopping and commercial district. Isn't he so cute?

I took this photo yesterday while we were out strolling in the park near our home.

Notice that Theo's nose has started to drip. He is nursing a cold as I post this entry and he actually had a slight fever last night. He is asleep while I am writing this, but I think that he is feeling much better already. Amazingly, he seems to recuperate very quickly from fever.

Now that Theo has increased his vocabulary, he has become very talkative; you can even talk to him on the phone. When he's bored at home, he would often say, "bus, bus..go, go...", while heading straight to the front door.

That's our cue to get dressed ourselves.
