Theo's New Toys

February 12, 2006 / Sunday /6:36 p.m.

It's been almost a month now since I last posted in this blog. It doesn't mean though that nothing new has happened to Theo. In fact, much has happened, esp. when it comes to his walking skills. He can now walk almost indefinitely while pushing his toy cart and he can also walk a few steps all by himself without any support. He looks both cute and adorable doing these walks. What actually kept me from posting was the housework backlog that faced us these past few weekends.

The trip to Bacolod was really very relaxing for us, esp. for Mommy D. For two weeks, she was free from housework and from taking care of Theo 24/7. On my part, I was out of the lab and was busy enjoying the different types of food that are available only in Bacolod or in the Philippines. Upon returning to Japan, I resolved that I will return to Bacolod after a few more years of working abroad. I am a Filipino...and there's no place like home.

This week's photo (see below) shows Theo with some of his new toys from his Grandaunt Nalik. Lola Nalik also sent him clothes and other goodies from the US. Recently, he also received toys from his Aunt Tippi and from his godfathers Glenn, Leon, Joey, and Anton, as well as from his friend Aya. Our living room is actually filled with his toys which end up scattered all over when he's on play mode.

Now, we can leave him all alone as he plays by himself, stopping only if he's bored or hungry. But we also love to play with him. Nothing beats his laughs and giggles in taking our tiredness away.
