The Book Worm

This week's photo shows Theo busily browsing one of the books that his Aunt Tippi had given him. It's almost impossible to decipher what goes on inside his head as he eagerly flips the pages, stares at the pictures, and babbles nonsensicals in between deep breaths and grins. What's certain is that he enjoys going through the pages.

Last night we attended the induction ceremony for the incoming fiscal year's officers of the Association of Filipino Scholars in Tsukuba. Consul General Claro Cristobal was our guest speaker and inducting officer. Quite a number of members attended and Theo enjoyed being passed around from one arm to the next.

Surprisingly, Theo was feverish starting at around 4 pm yesterday and was so until evening. This morning, however, the fever just disappeared, thus further reinforcing our belief that he has a strong and healthy immune system.

It's around 10:30 a.m. at the moment and Theo's still fast asleep. This provides us a few more minutes (or hours?) to ourselves before he wakes up and hugs our attention with his energizer-bunny-like exploration of the (home) terrain. Whew!
